Once you taste this Hummus you will never go back to buying it from a store! It will become your most requested recipe, and you will receive compliments every time you bring this to a potluck or party. My experience with Hummus began when visited Turkey in 2006. As soon as I returned home I found a recipe and began making it by the bowlful. Fast forward several years, I am now a hummus snob, and have created the BEST hummus EVER! There are so many flavors and varieties of hummus. Some of my other favorites include my Creamy Red Lentil Hummus, and for those of you who love peanut butter cookie dough, try my PB Cookie Dough Hummus. Try them all – and let me know which one is your favorite!
2 cups chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 small clove garlic
1/2 lemon, juiced
1-2 Tbsp. tahini
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. sea salt
Simply place all of the ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth and creamy.
*To make a light and fluffy hummus you can preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Scoop the hummus into a small oven safe dish (think ramekin) and bake for 15 minutes.
